Long-sightedness
Long-sightedness, or hyperopia, is where patients can see in the distance more clearly than close-up.
Glasses or contact lens are often needed for distance and close work. It is caused by the eye being too short or the refractive power of the eye (cornea and lens) being too weak. It may be treated by glasses, contact lenses, laser eye surgery or refractive lens exchange.
