– 20yrs experience in the field of ophthalmology.
– Consultant ophthalmologist and clinical lead for cornea at NHS University Teaching Hospital.
– Fellowship trained in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery.
– Certificate of laser refractive surgery from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
– Distinction in postgraduate diploma in cataract and refractive surgery.
– Visiting professor at Ulster University and tutor on postgraduate diploma on cataract and refractive surgery. A course taken by consultant ophthalmologists and refractive surgeons
around the world.
– Performed thousands of vision correction procedures (cornea, laser and lens-based procedures: fully audited with excellent outcomes and an extremely low complication rate)

Your Time With Mr Maycock
Upon arrival at the clinic, you will be seen by our specialist optometrist who will carry out a full optometric refraction.
You will then undergo a range of investigations using the latest, state-of-the-art equipment before seeing Mr Maycock for a full ophthalmic examination and discussion of the findings and best management plan.
