Posterior Capsule opacification
Over time the capsule that supports and surround the intraocular lens implant can opacify.
This is called posterior capsule opacification (PCO): it is a natural cellular change and does not mean anything untoward has happened. It is easily rectified with a YAG laser capsulotomy, a painless procedure done in the outpatient clinic.
